Hi! I’m Sarah, a 25 year old science teacher, coach, graduate student and pottery teacher (on the side) who loves to cook. I’ll cook pretty much everywhere, especially outdoors. Not solely grilling in my backyard, but cooking over a fire when I’m camping. Hands down, the best tasting food is cooked over an open campfire. I love everything to do with nature, fishing, hiking, canoeing, traveling etc.
I don’t have a large audience to cook for, only my husband Brandon, but he is my best critic and biggest fan. He has been there through the the good meals, and the bad, since I was 16. Throughout it all, I’ve learned cooking doesn’t always have to be perfect. There is almost always a way to fix a mistake (or cover it up really well). It seems I will never have enough time to try all the recipes/ideas I have, which is why I’m starting this blog. I just need to take it one idea/recipe at a time.
I believe in the saying, “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.” Everyone can cook, they just need the right tools to get them there.
